MEMORY

Who I Am

I started as a frontend engineer, became a product designer, moved into product, and eventually stopped seeing much of a boundary between the three.

Today, I work across product, design, engineering and AI: figuring out what to build, designing how it should work, and often building it myself.

I've lived across five countries and worked across B2B, B2C, D2C, ecommerce, health-tech, construction & restoration, productivity, consumer products, events, hospitality and marketplaces.

Different industries. Different users. Different problems.

The interesting part is figuring out what stays the same.

The Evolution

FRONTEND

I learned how things actually work.

DESIGN

I learned how people experience them.

PRODUCT

I learned what is worth building.

AI

I learned new ways of building and interacting with software.

WHERE THEY MEET

Now I work where strategy, design, and building overlap.

A Few Things I Remember

AGE 6

Discovered PCs. Immediately became obsessed with computers.

TEENAGE YEARS

Spent an unreasonable amount of time installing Windows, customising things, and exploring software.

EARLY CAREER

Started in frontend engineering and learned to build things from the ground up.

LATER

Moved closer to product and design: becoming increasingly interested in not just how things are built, but what should be built and why.

THEN

Started owning the decisions, not just the implementation.

NOW

Product + Design + Engineering + AI.

What I Do

I work across the full product lifecycle: understanding the problem, deciding what matters, shaping the experience, building it, shipping it, and learning from what happens next.

I'm not particularly interested in handing something over and walking away.

I like being in the room when the decisions happen, and still being there when the thing actually ships.

My process usually looks something like:

PROBLEM → DISCOVERY → PRODUCT → DESIGN → BUILD → SHIP → LEARN

And then back again.

The Connective Tissue

I work best where the boundaries between disciplines are porous.

Give me a complicated problem and a small, capable team, and I can move between asking:

What should we build?

How should it work?

Can I just build this?

without needing to hand each question to a different person.

That's where I tend to be most useful.

Right Now

PEPPERMINT

Product · Design · Engineering · AI

I'm currently leading product, design, and engineering at Peppermint: a macOS AI assistant built around a persistent memory of how you work.

I'm involved across the whole thing: figuring out the product, designing the experience, building interfaces, and working through the technical decisions that turn the idea into something real.

PAWTY BOX

Founder · Product · Brand · Ecommerce · Marketing · Operations

I'm also running Pawty Box, a pet-gifting ecommerce brand I built from scratch.

I sourced products, created the brand, built the online presence, created the marketing, experimented with AI-generated content, ran ads, worked with pet influencers, packed orders, created seasonal collections and figured out what people actually wanted to buy.

Basically: no department to hand things off to.

How I Work

FAST

I like short feedback loops and learning by doing.

HANDS-ON

I prototype, design, and code rather than waiting for a handoff.

CURIOUS

I follow interesting problems down rabbit holes.

PRACTICAL

I care about what actually ships, not just what looks good in a presentation.

AI-NATIVE

I use AI to accelerate exploration and execution, while keeping human judgment in the loop.

What I'm Really Good At

Connecting things that are usually kept separate.

Product with design.

Design with engineering.

Engineering with business.

Ideas with actual shipped products.

I'm at my best when I can move fluidly between all of them: shaping the product, designing it, building it, and connecting it to real outcomes.

Outside the Job Description

I'm usually either building something, thinking about building something, or wondering why something was built the way it was.

I'm curious about:

AI agentsNew interfacesProduct buildingGenerative experiencesThe weird corners of the internetWhatever rabbit hole comes next

I've never been particularly good at staying inside one box.

So I stopped trying.
